It began in 1979 as "Pacific/Asian American Heritage Week" and was expanded to a month-long celebration in 1990. It commemorates the diverse cultures and contributions of AANHPI communities to American society.
The 2024 theme, "Bridging Histories, Shaping Our Future," highlights intergenerational connections and the shared vision for progress within these communities.
For AANHPI Heritage Month 2024, here are some good links that provide valuable information, events, and resources.
