Adaptive & Inclusive Recreation

Our mission: to promote the power of choice to enhance the quality of life for individuals of all abilities by providing diverse accessible recreation in an environment that promotes dignity, success, and fun.

THPRD's Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation program provides access to recreation programs within THPRD to patrons who have developmental, learning, or physical disabilities or mental illness. Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation provides participants the opportunity to enjoy recreational, educational, and leisure offerings through THPRD.

Inclusion Services

Individualized supports for patrons experiencing disability in the registered class(es) of their choice. Available at recreation centers throughout the district. For more information about Inclusion Services, please email inclusion@thprd.org.

Inclusive Recreation Classes

Inclusive recreation classes for children and adults with or without disabilities are offered at recreation centers throughout the district. Inclusive classes are marked with an inclusive logo.

Adaptive Mobile Recreation

THPRD's Adaptive Rec Mobile is a free drop-in program for people of all ages. This inclusive, community-based recreation program provides fun sensory friendly games, crafts, and other activities throughout the community. Friday Adaptive Rec Mobile Gardening

A free drop-in gardening program for people of all ages and abilities. The program is held at the garden plots at Mountain Vide Champions Park, 5915 SW 170th Ave, Beaverton, OR 97007.

Camp Rivendale

Camp Rivendale is a summer program providing recreational opportunities for children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing disabilties. Campers are encouraged to explore music, visual arts, sports, games, nature and water. Camper can expect a weekly outing in the community, exploring the estate and adapted activities. Weekly activities are designed to engage campers in recreational activities and build confidence. For more information email camprivendale@thprd.org
